The CLASS Seminars series is composed of twelve lectures and other experiences annually in Education, the Humanities and the Social Sciences, offered through the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Belmont University. High school students attend the series from the middle of their sophomore year to the middle of their senior year, a total of 24 events.  Speakers are college professors and leading professionals from our community who want to share their fields with outstanding high schools students.

In the fall of their sophomore year, potential CLASS Scholars are nominated by their high schools, based upon their GPA and demonstrated interest in academic enrichment. These nominees are asked to submit a brief application. The CLASS Scholars Graduation ceremony will be held in the fall of the scholars’ Senior year in high school. These graduates will have participated in twenty-seven to thirty-six hours of college level lecture and discussion.

For information about the CLASS Scholars program, contact Dr. David Curtis at (615) 460-6307 or david.curtis@belmont.edu.
